Is the European Union the New Soviet Union?

Vladimir Konstantinovich Bukovsky (Russian: Влади́мир Константи́нович Буко́вский; born December 30, 1942) is a leading member of the dissident movement of the 1960-s and 1970-s, writer, neurophysiologist, and political activist. Bukovsky was one of the first to expose the use of psychiatric imprisonment against political prisoners in the Soviet Union. He spent a total of twelve years in Soviet prisons, labor camps and in psikhushkas, forced-treatment psychiatric hospitals used by the government as special prisons. In this video, he warns that the European Union is like another Soviet Union emerging to power. Please read Revelations 13 and the commentary before we discover the similarities between the two empires.

The Beast from the Sea
1 Then I stood on the sand of the sea. And I saw a beast rising up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and on his horns ten crowns, and on his heads a blasphemous name.

2 Now the beast which I saw was like a leopard, his feet were like the feet of a bear, and his mouth like the mouth of a lion. The dragon gave him his power, his throne, and great authority.

3 And I saw one of his heads as if it had been mortally wounded, and his deadly wound was healed. And all the world marveled and followed the beast.

4 So they worshiped the dragon who gave authority to the beast; and they worshiped the beast, saying, “Who is like the beast? Who is able to make war with him?”

5 And he was given a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies, and he was given authority to continue for forty-two months.

6 Then he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme His name, His tabernacle, and those who dwell in heaven.

7 It was granted to him to make war with the saints and to overcome them. And authority was given him over every tribe, tongue, and nation.

8 All who dwell on the earth will worship him, whose names have not been written in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.

The Beast from the Earth
11 Then I saw another beast coming up out of the earth, and he had two horns like a lamb and spoke like a dragon.

12 And he exercises all the authority of the first beast in his presence, and causes the earth and those who dwell in it to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.

13 He performs great signs, so that he even makes fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men.

14 And he deceives those who dwell on the earth by those signs which he was granted to do in the sight of the beast, telling those who dwell on the earth to make an image to the beast who was wounded by the sword and lived.

15 He was granted power to give breath to the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak and cause as many as would not worship the image of the beast to be killed.

16 He causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads,

17 and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.

18 Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man: His number is 666.

ANTI-CHRISTIAN GOVERNMENTS WILL PERSECUTE
1. The Beast is worshiped by the world
- We might have to do things for God that might cause us our jobs.
- Satan attacks the church in different ways.
- Beast rise from the sea.
- In Revelations 12, Satan attempts to destroy the child, but he was unsuccessful.
- In Chapter 13, the Beast was rising out of the sea.
- Read Daniel 7.
- The Beast refers to different nations that will persecute Christians.
- 13 verse 3 ~ the great enemy looks defeated but it heals and rise again. For example, Emperor Nero committed suicide in AD 68 and another Roman Leader arose. Anti-Christian arise, another will rise.
- The Beast uses governments as his henchmen to do evil.
- 13 verse 7 ~ He rules the world.
- 13 verse 5 to 6 ~ Anti-Christ will blaspheme the church.
- Men claims themselves to be God (II Thessalonians 2 verse 3 to 4)
- The Anti-Christ claims he is God.
- The world reacts to him for three reasons: First, they marvel at him (II Thessalonians 2 verse 9 to 10). Secondly, he lies and lies to people and they believe him. Thirdly, Nations will ally with the beast and worship him.
- Exodus 15 ~ Who is like God?
- People on earth will worship the Beast (II Thessalonians 2).
- Nebuchadnezzar forced people to worship him.
- Many leaders claim to be God, the world worship the beast.

2. The church is persecuted by the beast.
- The church might receive torture and persecution.
- Satan the devil wants Christian to surrender their faith.
- The beast will kill when Christians refuse to submit to him.
- The world leaders were given to the Beast to overcome the saints.
- King Ahab and Jezebel persecuted Christians. Elijah was the only one left (Revelations 13 verse 7).
- The Beast and his allies might win the battle but they may never win the war.

3. The assurance that the elect will remain faithful.
- Revelations 13 verse 8 ~ God chose to leave them alone.
- Those who will remain faithful and they would not follow the Beast.
- Christ will preserve a group of elect.
- The church is protected.

4. The Saints are called to faithfully endure.
- 13 verse 10 ~ Those who persecute will be persecuted. God has a plan for us to be martyred.
- 13 verse 7 ~ God gave authority to the beast.
- Persecution does not belong to the church.
- They can kill the body but not the soul.
- Let us pray for the government around the world.
- Satan works in the world with more than one beast.
- There are already Christian persecutions in different countries.
- Let us pray for the day where Christ will kill the beast.

SATAN RAISES ANTI-CHRISTIAN SOCIAL ENGINEERS WHO INDUCE SOCIETY TO WORSHIP ANTI-CHRISTIAN GOVERNMENTS
1. The aim…
- Social engineers design and mould society. They are very bad.
- The first beast was fierce, the second beast look gentle.
- The second beast wants to look harmless but speaks like a devil.
- He is Satan’s man ~ half-truth and lie.
- False prophets will rise.
- The second beast is servant of the first beast ~ who symbolise different government. It also refers to social engineers who influence people to mould society.
- Holy spirit is the divine social engineer like Pastors, elders etc.
- Social engineers are against Christians can be found anywhere like false prophets ~ in disguise who control the media, for example.
- Satan uses them for support in the anti-Christian governments (first Beast).
- Rome was the first anti-Christian government. People worshipped the Roman emperor.

2. The method…
- Social engineers are pagan priest in John’s name. Pagan priests encourage people to worship the Roman emperor. Those who encourage people to worship the Roman emperor is the second beast.
- Some people like the Nazis thought that Adolf Hitler was the first beast.
- People supported Hitler.
- Homosexuality is condemned in scriptures. But some churches promote it. More media encourage homosexuality.
- The second beast promotes great signs and wonders. They are qualified to speak. The second beast wants people to make an image of the first beast. Worldly people want a worldly government. They will make the image real.
- 13 verse 15 ~ when the beast gets power, he wipes out all oppositions.
- 13 verse 16 ~ the mark of the beast. For example, Christians suffered under the Roman Empire. Anybody who refused to bow down will be persecuted.
- 13 verse 17 ~ those who refused to obey the beast will die and we cannot buy and sell.
- The first and second beast and even Satan all worked together.

3. The failure…of these social engineers.
- 666 is a symbolic number. Number 6 us one short of Number 7. 7 is fullness.
- Number 6 is almost close to Number 7. The devil cannot get beyond Number 6. Every battle is the failure of the devil. The devil never gets to Number 7.
- He will deceive many but never get victory over the saints. Holy spirit will guide and protect us. Power of Christ is greater than Satan. We need to be careful with what we do and how we live. Christ will overcome the beast and Satan.

After reading this commentary on Revelations 13, you might want to compare the Soviet Union and European Union, they are like the first beast and second beast respectively.

Here are the highlights of how Vladimir Bukovsky compared the similarities of the Soviet Union and the European Union:
1. The rise of another monster: When the Soviet Union is buried and another similar one is being built…the European Union.

2. Unelected politicians: The Soviet Union is governed by 15 unelected people who appointed each other, who were not accounted to anyone. The European Union is appointed by two dozen people who appoint each other, meet in secret and who are not accountable to anyone and whom we cannot sack.

3. Looks like the EU is being elected: One might say that the EU has an elected parliament, the Soviet Union has that sort of parliament too…the Supreme Soviet

4. Speaking time in the parliament: Speaking time in both parliaments is limited to each group in about 1 minute per speaker.

5. Eurocrats: In the European Union, there are huge salaries, staff servants, bonuses and privileges and lifelong immunity from persecution which is simply shuffled from one position to another, no matter what they do or fail to do. Is this not exactly like the Soviet regime?

6. Two Bullies: The Soviet Union was created by coalition and very often use a military occupation. The European Union was created admittedly not by armed forces but by coalition and economic bully.

7. Stay alive: In order to continue to exist, the Soviet Union continue to spread itself further and further. The moment it stopped spreading, it started collapsing. Some suspect that the same thing will happen to the European Union.

8. One Nation: We were told that the purpose of the Soviet Union was to create a new historic entity – the Soviet people. That we must forget our nationalities, ethic traditions and customs. The same seems to be true of the European Union, they don’t want you to be British or French. The EU wants you all to be the new historic entity: European. They want to suppress all your national feelings and live as a multinational community. After 73 years in the Soviet Union, it resulted in more ethnic conflict than anywhere in the world.

9. Destruction of the nation state: Soviet Union’s ground purpose was the destruction of the nation state, and that is exactly what we observe in Europe today. Brussels and those other European nation state want those nations state to cease to exist. Corruption was built into the Soviet system from top down, and so it is in the EU. The same in ‘democrat’ activity we saw in the old Soviet Union has flourished in the EU. Those who oppose or expose it are silenced or punished, nothing changes.

10. The gulag: The EU’s version of the Soviet Gulag is the intellectual gulag also known as political correctness. When anyone tries to speak their mind on questions of race and gender or give their views different from those approve, they will be ostracized. This is the beginning of the gulag, your lost of freedom.

11. Federal State: In the Soviet Union, they told us we needed a federal state to avoid war. In the European Union, they are telling you exactly the same thing.

12. The main similarity: In short, the same ideology under principle systems. The European Union is an old Soviet model presented in western guise.

13. The collapse of both empires: Like the Soviet Union, the European Union has begun the seeds of its own demise. Unfortunately, when the EU collapses and it will, it will leave a mass destruction behind and we will be left with huge economy and ethnic problems. The old Soviet system was incapable of reforming, so is the European Union. But there is alternative to being rule by those two dozen self appointed officals in Brussels, it is call independence. You do not have to accept what they have plan for you. After all, You have never been asked whether you want to join. I have lived in the near future and it did not work.
