On this date, September 19, 1881, the 20th President of the United States, James A. Garfield passed away, as a result of being shot by assassin Charles J. Guiteau on July 2, 1881. In loving memory of this President, who is a devout Christian, I will post the Bible Verse of the week from one of his sermons.
