The Word Takes on Life
how swiftly his word flies! (Psalm 147:15)
He sent out his word and healed them , snatching them from the door of death.
(Psalm 107:20)
Let
every created thing give praise to the Lord, for he issued his command, and they came
into being .
(Psalm 148:5)
The
Word gave life to everything that was created and his life brought light to
everyone. (John 1:4)
Take some time to meditate on
these truths, and pray with us.
Father of Creation,
You spoke the world into being with Your
Word. Your Word brought order out of chaos. Your Word breathed life into death.
Your Word is established forever. In this New Year and in every year you give
me to live and move and breathe on this planet, I want to give Your Holy Word
supreme authority in my life, in every decision, every thought, every dream.
Adhering and trusting in Your Word, I will create a life that honors you
and brings you glory. With Your mighty strength to help me, Your perfect Wisdom
to guide me, and Your rich grace to keep me, this is my greatest desire and my
humble goal. Lead me, Father.
